Families Of Victims Of Rain Related Incidents In Tamil Nadu Receive Rs. 1 Lakh Compensation

A relief of Rs 1 lakh each will be given to families of 13 people who were killed in various rain-related incidents in different parts of the state recently, said Jayalalitha Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Most of them were struck by lightning. "I express my deep sympathies with the families of the victims," said Jayalalithaa.

She added that, Rs 1 lakh which is to be paid to each of the families of the victims are directed from the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund.
