Created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez during the 1990s, this fitness program involves dance and aerobic elements that focuses on hip and belly movements.
Jotika Anand, a level two Zumba trainer said, "Detailing about the trending form of workout that people in the country often mistake zumba as a dance form, but in reality it is a dance fitness that combines different dance rhythms like Bhangra, Merengue and Bachata and is a combination of high and low intensity workout."
