Dubai Launches Quit-smoking Helpline

The Dubai Health Authority has launched a toll-free anti-smoking helpline to aid smokers seeking to kick the habit.

Launched in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline, the 24-hour toll-free number 800-123-QUIT (7848) will guide smokers how to quit smoking.

Ahmed bin Kalban, chief executive officer of Primary Healthcare Sector at the DHA said: 'The implementation of the quit smoking line ... is part of the overall Tobacco-Free Dubai project.'
