Dr Reddy's Laboratories Introduces Generic Cancer Drug in the US Market

Pharmaceutical company, Dr Reddy's Laboratories has announced the launch of its generic Decitabine injection employed to treat cancer.

It has introduced this drug in the US market after USFDA approved the use of the drug. The injection in the strength of 50 mg has been launched in the US market and will be available as a single vial.

"The Dacogen brand has US sales of approximately USD 260 million MAT (moving annual total) for the most recent twelve months ending in July 2013 according to IMS Health," Dr Reddy's said.

Dacogen is employed to treat myelodysplastic syndromes and for acute myeloid leukemia.
