In an effort to be prepared to fight swine flu outbreak, the Delhi government has directed hospitals to double the number of beds. This was decided in a meeting chaired by Health Minister Satyendra Jain.
Jain has directed that isolated wards in hospitals must be kept in a state of readiness and number of beds should be doubled than last year, said an official.
The minister has directed the officials to be present in the review meetings at a regular basis, given reports that swine flu cases have been reported in some parts of the country.
