The new tie-up will allow people to avail of diagnostic facilities including consultation with doctors of Apollo Hospitals through video link, and facilitate sale of generic drugs online. The facility will be provided with a total of 60,000 common service centres (CSCs) under DeitY.

CSCs, which fall under the national e-governance plan, are an essential component of the 'Digital India' drive, which helps rural areas get connected to the internet and avail of e-governance services.
