Charity Launches Free App for Parents of Premature Babies
On the occasion of World Prematurity Day, UK charity Tommy's has launched a free app for parents of premature babies.
The app is the first of its kind initiative that aims to help support parents through this complicated and highly emotional period in their lives.  Some of the main features in the app include Tommy's Having a Premature Baby Guide, a tool that helps parents plot their baby's weight and height on developmental charts and a diary feature.

The app also has a Finding Friends feature through which parents may be able to locate other people in their area who have had premature babies.

"We created the My Premature Baby App so that parents can quickly search for expert information at any time of day and night, keep track of their baby's development and care needs, and share their baby's journey with wider family and friends – all without leaving their baby's side," said Tommy's Midwifery Manager Emma-Lees Lang.

Tommy's My Premature Baby App is available to download for free from www.prematurityapp.org.
