Center for Autism and Related Disorders Opens Its 2nd Treatment Center in Illinois
Opening of new treatment center for autism announced by Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) at 603 E. Diehl Road, Suite 123 in Naperville. CARD which is recognized as a global leader in the field of autism treatment, specializes in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to treat individuals of all ages diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
The only scientifically validated treatment for ASD is ABA it is most effective when delivered early and at a high level of intensity, shows research. The Naperville office is CARD’s second center in Illinois, with the other location serving the Oak Park region. Center-based services, home-based services, school-based services, diagnostic and assessment services, and social skills groups for individuals of all ages with ASD by CARD. CARD creates individualized treatment plans for each patient tailored to his or her specific needs.

“We are excited to expand our services to the Naperville area,” said CARD operations manager, Marisol Remoquillo. “The year 2015 marks CARD’s 25th anniversary and we continue our goal to improve the quality of life for all of the families we treat,” he said. One in every 68 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with ASD, with one in 42 boys and one in 189 girls diagnosed, according to the estimates by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These figures are from 2014 and have increased by more than 30 percent since previously reported in 2008.

Services for children with ASD have not always kept pace with demand, as the prevalence of ASD increased. As a result, families affected by ASD may encounter challenges when trying to access quality treatment. Parents are struggling to access the services that are crucial to their child’s development as there is increase in autism diagnoses and lack of availability of resources in many communities. CARD strives to meet that need by continuously opening new offices throughout the country to provide top-quality ABA therapy.
