 Cancer Research Data Indicates Worrisome Rise in Cancer Incidence
Latest figures released by Cancer Research UK has revealed an increase in almost all forms of cancers, corroborating a separate report that warned that over 40 percent of Britons could be diagnosed with cancer at some point of their lives.
According to the stats, the number of middle aged men suffering from prostate cancer has shot up by more than six-fold over the last three decades with 4,000 new cases being reported every year.

Breast cancer rates too have risen by over 60 percent among women between 40 to 59 years of age with over 17,110 cases being reported in a year.

The only form of cancer to see a decline has been lung cancer due to less number of people smoking. The report blamed obesity and increased consumption of alcohol and revealed that fat tissue in overweight people can trigger excess hormones such as insulin or oestrogen which can lead to formation of tumors.
