Cancer Patients Ill With Worry About Finances

As if battling the psychological and physiological problems of cancer is not enough, patients are worrying sick about the huge drain on their finances and what the future holds for them, reveals a UK based Charity. Nearly 73% of cancer patients are hit by the surge in costs of treatment of cancer which has taken a toll on their lifestyle.

This situation is only set to worsen if the topical welfare reform bill actually comes through. This can cause a huge drain on families who are already finding it difficult to tide over.

Macmillan Cancer Support is of the opinion that the bill must be altered so that patients eligible for the Employment and Support Allowance will get it for as long as it is needed.
