Cancer Couple Receives the Best Christmas Present Ever - a Little Baby Henry
Joanne Forster, 28, battled Hodgkin lymphoma in 2008. Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of lymphoma in which cancer originates from a specific type of white blood cells known as lymphocytes.
Just two years earlier her husband Robert Forster had fought non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin lymphomas are diverse group of blood cancers that include any type of lymphoma except Hodgkin's lymphomas.

Doctors had warned the couple that cancer therapy had wrecked their hopes of ever having a family. But they welcomed a little baby Henry into the world at 1.20am on Christmas Day.

Thrilled mum Joanne said, “Henry wasn’t supposed to arrive until January 3. The fact he was born on Christmas Day just makes it more special.”

The couple worked together at Dovegate Prison near Uttoxeter, (United Kingdom). Joanne gave birth to Henry at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. He weighed in at 7lbs 11oz.

“When they told me I had got cancer they asked if I wanted to freeze my eggs. Then they said I had to start chemotherapy straight away or I would be dead in three months. When I found out I was pregnant I was completely over the Moon. I never thought this day would ever come,” she said.
