Can Terminally Ill People Choose Where They Wish to Die?
A number of surveys have shown the clear preference of terminally ill people, that if they had the choice, they would like to die at home. The survey reveals that most of them do not want to die in a hospital.
Health administration in the United Kingdom have put in their best to see if people can be better cared for in their homes and supported during the last days of their lives. The effort is also on to reduce the pressure in hospitals caring for the terminally ill.

The effort of the governments has resulted in some amount of success in recent years. The rate of deaths at home has shown improvement from 18.3% - 20.8% from 2004 to 2010.

The coalition government in England has said that it wants to bring in a 'national choice offer', under which anyone who wishes to die at home will receive the support to do so. The government has committed to reviewing the capacity of the health and social care system to keep their word on supporting care for the terminally ill.
