Blind Woman Saves Cabbie from the Jaws of Death
A blind woman’s quick thinking saved the life of a Melbourne taxi driver who suffered a heart attack in his taxi while he was driving her a few weeks ago.
Judy Streit was on her way to Doncaster shopping centre in a cab driven by taxi driver Neil Wilkinson. Enroute, the taxi driver complained of extreme uneasiness in his chest.

When Judy got out of the car, she heard Mr. Wilkinson feebly call out her name and then simply fell unconscious.

"I'm half out of the car and feeling where the gutter is, and I hear 'Judy'... and that's all I heard. I put my hand on his chest and I thought, 'Oh hell he's not breathing, oh hell'."

She made an immediate call to emergency services and followed the operator's instructions to perform CPR until paramedics arrived.

Mr Wilkinson, now recovering in the cardiac care unit, is eternally grateful to Ms Streit for saving his life, and said that he would perhaps not be alive today if it was not for her timely action.

"It's amazing how a person who is vision impaired can do all that.Big kiss for you Jude. Thanks darling," Mr.Wilkinson said.
