Beyonce Recalls Pain of Miscarriage in the First Song of Her Album
Motherhood is an unforgettable experience for most women, and even famous people like Beyonce recall this experience as one of the most momentous occasions of their life.
In a HBO documentary, Beyonce recalls how motherhood gave her immense joy. She feels that her cup of joy is overflowing after the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy.

On the same breath, she recalls how her earlier pregnancy that resulted in a miscarriage gave her so much pain. In the documentary, she goes on to explain her struggle to become a mother.

She says that becoming pregnant is akin to falling in love and nothing can quite compare the feeling of joy with a baby growing inside. She recalls the failed pregnancy with remorse and the complications that set in during the early weeks that led to the loss of the baby.

Engulfed with pain and depression, she owes it to music that helped her heal as she found a way to express her sadness through her songs. As she wrote the first song of her album, it worked like therapy for her.

"And it was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I've ever been through," Beyonce said.
