Beware of Pesticides in Fruits and Vegetables
A recent report has revealed that most of the fruits and vegetables we consume are not safe as they are found to be contaminated with pesticides. This makes it all the more important to wash fruits and vegetables before cooking or consuming them.
"Pesticides are toxic. They are designed to kill things and most are not good for you" said Sonya Lunder, senior analyst at the Environmental Working Group, which conducted the study.

The study conducted by the EWG found that 98% of apples tested was found to contain pesticide and 92 percent tested positive for two or more pesticides. 95% of Celery tested contained atleast one pesticide. Tests also revealed that fruits and vegetables like lettuce, potatoes, blueberries, spinach, peaches, and grapes also contained pesticides.

Pesticide contamination in fruits and vegetables is dangerous as it can cause IQ deficits in children, disturb the  hormone system, and cause nervous system toxicity.
