Police arrested a 53-year-old quack posing as a doctor, who was running a clinic.
Suresh Verma was arrested from his clinic in south Delhi's Munirka.
"Verma has been running a clinic claiming himself to be an MBBS degree holder. After failing to produce the degree, he was arrested," said Chhaya Sharma, deputy commissioner of police.
"His mother's death inspired him to become a doctor. He studied up to Class 10 and completed a diploma in ayurveda from Uttar Pradesh in 1984. Later, he started his clinic and would prescribe patients allopathic medicines," Sharma said.
