Better Health Insurance for Employees But No Increments This Year, Says Corporate India
Indian firms are putting their best foot forward by offering employees flexible health insurance packages in 2012, some making even concierges available.
Many companies have eliminated the clause of overnight hospitalization from their health plans as employees frequently need treatments that require them to visit a hospital for only a few hours.

To top it all, even if an employee resigns from a company, he can keep his dream health insurance plan. However, in that case, the health plan will not be subsidized as heavily.

Corporate India has suddenly become accommodating regarding employees' health plans, in the face of a recession-hit economy, where they cannot be offered succor from low increments and no promotions.

To compensate for this, and to make imminent hikes in health insurance rates and medical inflation easy on their staff, Indian companies are arraying a formidable range of medical plans to retain old talent and attract the new.
