A leading national beer trade group has issued a statement praising the release of two White House homebrew recipes.
"The Beer Institute applauds the president for his enthusiasm for beer and sharing his passion with beer lovers everywhere," the Politico quoted Beer Institute president Joe McClain as writing in the statement.
"Beer has a unique ability to bring people together, regardless of race, class or geography. While there may be much that divides is, beer has always been a unifier and an equalizer, and a proud part of the American culture," McClain added.
The secret recipes were finally released on Saturday following public demand for more information on Obama's efforts.
The release came after two separate petitioners filed a Freedom of Information Act, and a petition on the White House website.
