 Ban on Bath Salts
From next month, The Drug Enforcement Administration announces temporary ban on the possession and sale of bath salts.
The ban will last for at least a year, after which the US Government will consider whether or not to allow the sale of the three stuimulants, Mephedrone, MDPV and Methylone.

Bath salts are lab-produced stimulants called "synthetic cathinones" that have an effect similar to that of marijuana and can cause hallucination among users.

CBS News quoted the DEA,as saying that bath salts are also known to cause disorientation, extreme paranoia and violent episodes among the users.

The stimulants, which are packaged as bath salts or plant food and marketed under names such as "Purple Wave," "Vanilla Sky" and "Bliss," are especially popular among teenagers and young adults.
