Anti-baldness Drug Affects Sexual Health in Men
Young men could be taking anti-baldness drug- finasteride at the cost of their sexual health, say researchers. Finasteride is sold in UK as Propecia. According to the doctors in Ireland and US, the drug’s labeling is inadequate and can cause serious side effects.
This prescription pill is effective at stopping hair loss. After taking this medicine 9 out of 10 men did not experience hair fall over a five year period.

Manufacturers of ‘Propecia’, Merck, claim on its website that less than 2% men could suffer sexual side effects like difficulty achieving erection. But these problems will go away once these men stop taking the drug. The company also said that after receiving reports about the sexual side effects even after discontinuing the medicine, they have changed the labeling of the medicine. According to them such cases are very rare and could be due to something other than Propecia itself.
