Allergy Pill Allegra to be Available as OTC Medication
Allegra, the best-selling antihistamine used to combat allergies, will now be sold over-the-counter sale after the FDA gave its green signal for the same.
Allegra maker Sanofi-aventis revealed that the drug will be retailed by March 4, which means that consumers will be able to buy it in time for the spring allergy season.

"Pricing for the Allegra family of OTC products will be at the discretion of each retailer," a spokesperson for Sanofi-aventis U.S told WebMD.

Other products that will be sold OTC include Children's Allegra 12-hour tablets, Children's Allegra 12-Hour Orally Disintegrating Tablets, Allegra Liquid and Allegra-D 24-Hour and 12-Hour Allergy and Congestion Extended Release Tablets.
