 Addiction to Smart Phone on Rise Among Younger Generation
A recent US study on smart phone use among college students reveals that nearly ten percent of them are addicted to smart phones.
The survey involved 2000 college students. Ten percent of them were worried and admitted to smart phone addiction while 85% of them reported to constantly check their phones. Nearly 75% of the students sleep with their smart phones beside them.

According to counselor, Peter Smith, there is a ten percent increase in people seeking therapy for smart phone addiction in Britain.

The younger generation relies heavily on the smart phones to maintain contacts, which leads to issues like bullying and exclusion.

Smith says that symptoms of smart phone addiction include increases heart rate and panic while not having the phone. These are similar to symptoms of gambling and alcohol.
