Legendary Julie Walters Narrates How She Ran Away from a Paedophile

Legendary film actress Julie Walters revealed that she was playing with her pals when a strange man approached them.

"It was the start of a sexual assault. We were so frightened of him we'd have done anything," the Sun quoted Walters as saying. Julie Walters has revealed in her autobiography that she almost fell prey to a paedophile when she was 10 years old.

Walters, who grew up in Smethwick, West Midlands was so shocked by the ordeal that she hid the incident even from her mother.

"He tried to get us into a derelict house, he touched me, it was nothing horrific, but it could have been," she added.

Walters also revealed in her memoir that the pervert followed them around in order to abduct them, but the kids finally grabbed attention of the people at a nearby bus stop.

"We managed to attract the attention of people at a bus stop and ran. I thank God those people were there as we were so scared," she said.
