A study has revealed that women who opt for multiple hair extensions risk baldness. This procedure has become popular among women can cost up to 4000 dollars.
However a study conducted last year found that women who opt for this procedure risk permanent baldness. The study was published in the British Journal of Dermatology.
Hair experts agree with the findings of this study. "So many hair salons are falling over each other to make an extra dollar," Dr Jennifer Martinick, a hair specialist, said. "You go to the hair expo and there's every Tom, Dick and Harry doing hair extensions. They think it looks easy and they can get big money."
Experts also said that it was important to find a good stylist, who used modern techniques that do not cause much damage.
