Children cannot wait for their holidays but for parents the holiday season brings with it a lot of stress.
Michelle Grant of the Tennessee Poison Control Center in Nashville says, "This time of year we receive several calls from parents". She says that children consume their grandparents' medications that are kept within their reach. Grant stresses on remembering to keep harmful substances out of the reach of children.
Other holiday hazards Grants warns against are Christmas light that may tempt children to break the glass and drink the liquid that contains hazardous chemicals. She also warns against fake plastic snow and snow sprays that can irritate the lungs when inhaled.
Glass ornaments are another item that parents need to watch out for as children can break it and put the pieces in their mouth.
Keep a watch on kids to enjoy an accident free holidays.
