Joanne Patterson, a mother-of-three has to be extremely cautious not to consume any alcohol during the festive season as even one more alcoholic drink could kill her.

After breaking up with her partner, she began to drink from dawn to dusk as a way to drown her sadness. She soon began to consume three bottles of wine and many cans of lager on a daily basis.
