Toothache and Delayed Treatment Causes Death of 24-year-old
In a tragic case, 24 year old, Kyle Willis, from Cincinnati, could not survive a dental infection after complications set in as he did not avail treatment at the appropriate time. He neither had medical cover nor the money to buy the medications.
Willis began experiencing pain in his wisdom tooth about two weeks ago. He was informed by a dentist that his wisdom tooth needed to be extracted.Since Willis did not have a job and no medical cover, he decided to bear the pain and forgo the procedure.

Soon his condition became worse and the pain spread to his head giving him unbearable headaches. He was prescribed some painkillers and antibiotics at the emergency room, which he chose not to buy except for the painkillers as he could not afford to buy the medicines. The infection in his tooth spread to the brain causing an inflammation in his brain, which claimed his life.

People do not take dental care seriously and many completely avoid dental check-ups. It pays to know that one can lose their life to dental disease if it is not treated on time.
