The risk of this procedure is manifold when it is performed by unqualified staff.

The British Dental Association and the General Dental Council have both reiterated that tooth whitening should be carried out only by registered dental practitioners.

Therefore, those who wish to get their teeth cleaned or opt for a tooth whitening procedure must visit the dentist rather than approach beauty salons.
