Britain's Image Information Systems has unveiled its next generation radiology image display device, the iQ-MOBILITY, which is the world's first portable radiology greyscale reading device.

The IQ-MOBILITY: World’s First Portable Radiology Greyscale Reading Device

The iQ-MOBILITY is a laptop device that comes with a 17 inch screen capable of displaying calibrated grayscale imagery at a brightness of 300 Cd/m˛.

Apart from the basic function as a radiology image reader, the device is also capable of displaying DICOM images, a study browser, and professional 3D posprocessing.

It is expected that the new device will help radiologists perform multimodality readings of diagnostic images from any part of the world.
