Teenage Mother Sacrifices Life for Her Baby
While being admitted to the hospital, she pulled her nurse down to her at bed level and said, "I'm done, I did what I was supposed to. My baby is going to get here safe."
At 16-years of age Jenni was diagnosed with a tumor in her brain. She was going through chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. During the course of treatment, Jenni was informed that she might never be able to conceive.
When Jenni learnt about her pregnancy she was given a choice to undergo treatment and lose her baby or continue with pregnancy, during which she would not be provided with cancer treatment.
Jenni made this ultimate sacrifice for her baby. However, soon after giving birth, Jenni succumbed to death.
Jenni's last words were about her newborn son as he was placed beside her a final time, her father said. As she felt for the baby, Jenni said, "I can kind of see him."
