Surya Pharma to Market Crocs Medical Footwear in India

Surya Pharmaceuticals has announced that it has signed a deal with US Company Crocs, under which it will market the latter's medical footwear range in India.

Crocs have a range of medical footwear for people with arthritis and diabetes and sell a range called "Crocs Rx Medical."   Hari Om Bhatia, President Surya Pharmaceuticals said that this deal was part of more elaborate plans to introduce international brands in India.

Surya plans to sell 6.5 lakh pairs over the next two years and is confident of attaining the target as the diabetic population is on the rise in India.

Mr Bhatia said the footwear would be launched in 15 cities initially through the company's Viva retail outlets.
