Survey Finds Over Half a Million People Report for Work With Hangover
A new survey carried out in Britain reveals that more than half a million people report to work with a hangover everyday with researchers warning that the number will rise sharply during the football World Cup.

The survey was carried out by charity organization Drinkaware in which more than 1, 000 people were questioned over their drinking habits. According to the report, more than 10 percent admitted reporting to work when hungover of which 17 percent said that it was affecting their efficiency at work.

While 90 percent of those polled said that having a hangover at work was not acceptable, at least 60 percent admitted to having joked about it to their boss the next day. Now Drinkware has said that the number of people reporting to work when hungover could increase in the next couple of months.

“An international sporting event like the World Cup will inevitably capture the attention of the nation and is a great time for people to come together, but hangovers at work are likely to increase”, Chris Sorek, CEO of Drinkaware, said.
