Surgery in India Helps Nigerian Woman Stand Up on Her Feet After 11 Years
A 65-year old Nigerian woman, crippled for 11 years due to chronic rheumatoid arthritis, is now back on her feet, thanks to a life-changing surgery she underwent in India.
Margaret was bedridden for 11 years and had almost lost hope of being able to walk again.

Though she has received five metallic implants, she is a relieved person today.

Margaret was completely dependant on her family for her daily needs. She needed help with brushing her teeth and maintaining personal hygiene. She had to be fed, as her fingers were swollen. Added to her immobility was also unbearable pain which made her cry ever so often.

She underwent three distinct surgeries. After some physiotherapy in the coming few weeks, she can actually leave for home with a renewed zest for life.
