Surgery Brings Down Weight

 Surgery Brings Down Weight
Natalie Rowe, from Staffordshire has been wildly successful in losing more than half her body weight after undergoing a gastric bypass.
She had weighed 24st 2lb before the surgery and now two years later, she weighs just 9st 12lb and is still losing weight.

She had battled with her weight since childhood, and had visited doctors several times to get help, and they recommended different weight management plans. Nothing worked and the gastric band that she was referred for was deemed unsuitable because of her love for sweets. Finally, the gastric bypass was suggested to her.

She claims that she went online to do her research on this treatment method, and what she heard was encouraging for many said it had really helped their health problems and some even claimed that their diabetes had gone. Natalie’s concerns were health issues and starting a family.

Now, after the surgery she only has a problem of excess skin which she hopes a plastic surgeon will rectify when she reaches her final weight level.

Natalie is also backing a study recommending gastric bypasses for the obese, which would cut costs to the NHS in the long term.
