A new study has found that most suicides in the US tend to occur on Wednesdays. The study looked at death records in the US from 2000 to m2004.
It found that 24.6 percent of adult suicides occurred on Wednesdays, while 14.4 percent occurred on Saturdays and 14.3 percent on Mondays. the least number was found on Thursdays.
"It may be just that it feels like there's no way out on Wednesday, (it's) too long to wait for the weekend," said Theodore Mucha, medical director at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut
The study is published in the journal Social Psychiatry & Psychiatric Epidemiology.
