According to the journal New Media and Society, a social support group has been formed on the internet that is working to spoil any recovery from the serious problem.

Calling themselves by the name, Online Negative Enabling Support Group (ONESG), this social support group is encouraging its members to accept anorexia as a preference rather than as an illness.

The ONESG pro-anorexia movement is trying its best to communicate to anorexic people to continue their harmful and dangerous behaviours.

The website speaks of suggestions like allowing oneself to hate his/her physical body, and offers tips to continue the anorexic pattern of behaviour in their life.
