Spine problems including serious injuries could be easily treated in a non-invasive fashion using sound waves, a leading Canadian orthopedic surgeon said.

Known as the Khan Kinetic Treatment (KKT), the technique has been developed by Dr Aslam Khan. According to the Indian born doctor, the treatment can be used to reduce the pain, and in some cases completely eliminate it, of spine injuries often caused due to accidents or sudden falls.

Dr Khan went on to add that the treatment makes the body to start the process of self healing after the sound waves stimulate muscles, blood vessels and neural communication.

“The treatment helps in gentle repositioning of vertebrae, functional restoration of the central nervous system and cellular bio-synthesis which is responsible for restoring and regenerating worn or damaged disks”, Dr Khan added.
