Crowne Plaza chain of hotels has come up with an innovative idea to help their guests sleep better at night by introducing snore absorption rooms at select hotels.
The rooms have been fitted with sound-proof walls, an anti-snoring pillow, specially designed head board and a white noise machine to make sure that any snoring is kept to a minimum. Snore monitors also patrol the corridors of the rooms to keep the noise at minimum and repeat "offenders" are shifted to rooms away from the anti-snore zones.
AdvertisementSo far six hotels in Britain have implemented this strategy and Crowne Plaza said that it will be expanding the service to other hotels depending on the feedback received.
"We've all been there. Lying wide awake at three o'clock in the morning burying our head under a pillow to drown out our partner's snoring. There's nothing worse than being kept up all night and that's why we've designed this specific snore absorption room to help give our guests a great night's sleep", Crowne Plaza spokesman, Tow Rowntree said.
