Scientists Identify Novel Therapeutic Target for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Blocking Hsp90 can have a powerful effect on BCL-6 production within the cell and, therefore, tumour formation.
The experimental drug PU-H7, designed to block the activity of Hsp90, has also been found to prevent the two molecules from joining, thereby killing lymphoma cells and inhibiting new cell reproduction.
The study appears in journal Nature Medicine.
