The number of lung cancer patients undergoing surgery has most certainly gone up.

Sadly, lung cancer, which claims more number of lives than any other cancer, gets diagnosed at a later stage which means that 75% of patients are not in a position to undergo surgery.

The present statistics lend a positive note to the outcome of lung cancer as surgeons are in a better position to evaluate patients and take a decision about surgery.
