Relatives of Patients Get Rough With AIIMS Docs
Another instance of patients' relatives getting rough with doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has come to light.

The incident involved one Yaad Mohan who was brought to the Jay Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre at 2 am in the morning. When there was a slight delay in the treatment, the relatives began scuffling with the junior doctors.

"There were a few serious cases and doctors were attending them first and thus Mohan's treatment got delayed slightly. His relatives who were completely drunk started thrashing two staffers and attacked doctors as well," said Kumar Harsh, President of the AIIMS Resident Doctors Association.

AIIMS director P Venugopal intervened after the doctors staged a protest for four hours. He assured them adequate security in future.
