Do not stop developmental activities at RIMS, this was the message given to people by non-teaching staff at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences.

The appeal was launched after miscreants of the Kangleipak Communist Party (Military Council) exploded a bomb in the campus. The explosion occurred on May 25 outside the microbiology and pathology departments.

“We appeal to all sections of people and organisations to extend their cooperation in the development activities of RIMS so that it can cater to the better healthcare needs of the people of Manipur,” said a statement issued by M. Bira Singh, adviser to the Non-teaching Welfare Association of the institute.

The hospital superintendent Y. Mohen Singh said the blast had created fear among employees.
