Though we always knew that the Earth is precious, we now have a value in figures attributed to it.

Astrophysicist, Greg Laughlin, has come up with a formula to calculate the value of a planet, and according to his calculation, our earth is worth £3,000 trillion.

His formula to calculate the value of a planet is the sum of the planet's vital statistics- temperature, mass, size and age. According to his calculation, The Earth scored the highest among all planets.

It gives us an idea how precious our planet is and therefore the need to protect it as well. Mars was worth only £10,000, and many planets lost out because of their bad climates. The value of the planet Venus is not worth a mention.
