The dispute between leading healthcare providers and insurance companies can only be solved by proactive action.
Proactive Action Will Solve Cashless Dispute

In a letter to General Insurance Public Sector Association (Gipsa), leading healthcare providers in Mumbai have called for joint action to resolve this issue. The problem arose after the public sector insurance companies decided to unilaterally withdraw cashless facility at various hospitals as they felt the latter were over-billing them.

“So far, the public sector insurance companies have taken all decisions unilaterally,” said Vijay Krishna, vice-president of the Association of Hospitals (AoH) and the core committee’s presiding officer. “We should seek a joint solution.”

The Association of Hospitals (AoH), Association of Medical Consultants (AMC), Bombay Nursing Home Association (BNHA) and Bombay Ophthalmic Association (BOA) have met to discuss the issue and have written to GIPSA about their deliberations.
