 Prime Minister Discharged From AIIMS
Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Sunday morning after undergoing coronary heart surgery on January 24.

His stay in the hospital was extended on Saturday for some further monitoring. Dr. Singh was discharged after a number of pre-discharge tests were conducted on him

The decision to discharge the Prime Minister was taken by his personal physician Dr. K S Reddy and the team of doctors who performed the surgery.

Dr. Singh has been advised to follow a strict diet and exercise regimen to keep his diabetes low. He has also been provided with all the required machines at his official residence to keep a regular check on his health.

Dr. Vijay D'Silva will take care of the Prime Minister for a few days at his official residence. Cardiac rehabilitation specialist Dr. Contractor will be there for a week to monitor his health

The doctors have advised the Prime Minister a six-week recovering period before he starts handling his duties fully.
