The benefits of playing outdoors are well-known and children who do so are benefited greatly.

Kids who play outdoors can maintain their weight, are more alert and have a positive outlook in life.

A recent study has said that kids who play outdoors will also be blessed with better vision.

The research found that for every extra hour the child spent being physically active outside, the chances of suffering vision problems especially nearsightedness fell by 2%.

Maybe it is just that kids playing outdoors are used to long-distance views. Plus there is lesser focus on activities such as web surfing, reading and playing video games.

The outdoor play can help even myopic kids completely avoid wearing glasses after two years.
