Pharmaceutical Company Approved

Ipca Laboratories, one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of active pharmaceutical ingredients in India, has been approved by the UK health regulator for good manufacturing practices.

Its new formulations manufacturing unit at the special economic pharma zone, SEZ Indore, Madhya Pradesh had been inspected by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency which then certified the company for compliance with principles and guidelines of good manufacturing practices.

National Pharmaceutical Policy Referred to Ministerial Panel
The draft National Pharmaceutical Policy has been referred to a Group of Ministers (GOM) though no timeframe has been set for its finalisation.

This is the fourth manufacturing unit of the company to have received such approval from the UK Regulatory Agency.

Shares of Ipca Laboratories had gone up 3.33 per cent at Rs 270.20 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange .
