Pete Doherty Plans to Give Up Drugs in 2009
Pete Doherty has set an important goal for himself in 2009 of keeping away from drugs.

The troubled British rocker has had a well-publicised battle with substance abuse and has been fighting addictions to heroin and crack cocaine since 2003.

He was locked up at London's Wormwood Scrubs prison in May (08), serving 29 days of his 14-week sentence for probation violation relating to his previous drug and driving offences.

However, Doherty has now vowed to give up drugs.

"I'm sick of going around in circles. I'm clean now and I'm going to stay that way this year - apart from the fags and the booze," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
