Pediatric Heart Surgeon Banned from Practicing in UK

A renowned pediatric heart surgeon Dr. Philipp Bonhoeffer has been issued an interim suspension order by the General Medical Council (GMC) on the grounds of child abuse allegations. The GMC has banned him from practicing in UK while the proceedings are on. However the cardiologist who used to work at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital has denied all the charges against him.

The hearing of the case has been halted after the lawyers of the accused applied for a judicial review which will be heard tomorrow in the High Court in London.
