Janelle Perry has become the oldest woman in Australia to deliver triplets naturally at the age of 47.
The Kingston, Queensland mum and husband Rob hoped to expand their family but faced disappointment when Perry miscarried twins early in 2005.
The couple were aware of Perry's fertility clock and her dim chances of conceiving.
"We sold all the baby gear and kept only one pink body suit and a pink bunny rug as a memento," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.
But she later fell pregnant with naturally conceived triplets, Cooper, Kyle and Jordan, that the doctors described as a one-in-10 million chance.
